top five stocks to buy

What really causes the most powerful changes in the financial markets?   Trust me, it's not about lines on a chart or earnings announcements in the media.   What I'm going to teach you today is just common sense dressed up in a lot of financial jargon. After reading this, I bet that for the first time ever, you won't feel anxious about what might happen to your savings. Instead, you'll be excited about what's going to happen next… because you'll know why it's going to happen.   What are we talking about? What is the big underlying force that moves the market forward or causes it to collapse? The answer won't surprise you…   A very old school of economic thought – known as the Austrian School of Economics – teaches these concepts.   Many of its theories have proven to be extremely powerful. For example, the Austrian School led to the discovery of "game theory," an understanding of human decision-making that guided policy during the Cold War. One Austrian School thinker, Friedrich Hayek, won the Nobel Prize in Economics for his idea that money serves as the primary means of communication in an economy.

top five stocks to buy: Tesla Motors, Inc.(TSLA)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Evan Niu, CFA]

That’s how long it’s been since my Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Model S was involved in an accident and I still don’t have my car back. That’s nearly eight months of rather large monthly payments for a car that I’m unable to drive; nearly eight months of incrementally higher costs associated with insurance and registration for a car that’s sitting in the shop; nearly eight months of having to find and arrange alternative transportation; nearly eight months of having to buy gas again, while the gas savings had previously offset part of said large monthly payments; nearly eight months of impatiently waiting to get back a car that I absolutely love; nearly eight months of regularly prodding Tesla for updates with little to no success.

NVIDIA has also recently announced several partnerships lately, like the one with Microsoft, dubbed Olympus, aimed at maximizing GPU performance for data centers. Then there are also other partnerships in the self-driving cars space, like the one with Bosch, and another one with PACCAR (NASDAQ:PCAR), to develop autonomous trucks. Of course, most of these partnerships will most likely take a while before they can translate to any monetary benefits for NVIDIA. What these deals do, though, is reinforce NVIDIA’s grip over this market, which even pushed Intel (NASDAQ:INTC)to acquire Mobileye (NYSE:MBLY), to build a presence in this space. Mobileye is the company that lost business from Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)to NVIDIA last year. Putting that aside, more importantly, the price that Intel is paying to acquire Mobileye has indirectly pointed to the fact that NVIDIA may be significantly undervalued.

A person could be forgiven for thinking that all the hoopla in the business press about Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) has raised Americans’ awareness of battery electric vehicles (EVs) and other plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Forgiven, yes, but still wrong. Badly wrong.
