Amaya’s stock has been on a wild roller coaster ride this year, with catalysts ranging from the CEO (David Baazov) being accused of insider trading, to takeover rumors, to failed mergers and now a formal bid by the aforementioned CEO. There have certainly been a lot of hopes and headaches, but I believe there is a strong underlining long case to be made on Amaya. I wrote a blog post about it the day before it released its Q3 earnings, my basic argument was that it is intrinsically undervalued due to market overreaction on merger discussions and there was still the possibility of a buyout by the former CEO at a significant upside. It seemed like a win-win. Well, when the earnings were released, not only were the results impressive but Baazov launched a formal bid at C$24 per share (approximately US$18) or a 30% upside from the previous Friday’s Close. Whether this private takeover succeeds or not, this stock is poised for significant long term growth.
Amaya (NASDAQ:AYA) runs the world’s largest online gaming (casino) empire in the world. It runs many valuable brand names especially in the online poker business (PokerStars and Fulltilt) but is now increasingly moving into sports betting and other online casino games. It is also the fastest growing and most well positioned to take advantage of online gambling legalization as well as the inherent scalability of the internet. This is a company which has seen its revenues increase from below US$200M just a few years ago to over US$1.2 BILLION for the trailing twelve months. Reviewing its results and its future growth prospects, it will be clear that this firm is undervalued.

There is no denying that some silver stocks have a problem with the problem beingthe focus on silver. On Monday, some key silver stocks like First Majestic Silver Corp (NYSE: AG) along with solver benchmark the iShares Silver Trust ETF (NYSEARCA: SLV) saw sharper than normal selloffs on an otherwise short trading day. The problem for investors in First Majestic Silver Corp is that its probably the closest thing to a pure play silver stock out there as most other silver miners have long since made aneffort to diversify into gold and other preciousmetals in case silver prices fall off.

Top 10 Casino Stocks To Watch For 2018: Roche Holding AG (RHHBY)
Advisors’ Opinion:
- [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]
Keytruda is also picking up indications, trading up Thursday on news of a new FDA approval in front line lung cancer treatment (not a big surprise, but there was some doubt). Some adverse news on Roche’s (OTCQX:RHHBY) I-O competitor Tecentriq in bladder cancer led IBD to publish this:
- [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]
Medtronic operates both in the therapeutic and diagnostic medical markets throughout the world; the company’s varied product lines face a vast combination of competitors, ranging from large manufacturers with multiple business lines (exemplified by Johnson & Johnson) to smaller manufacturers offering a limited selection of products, like Insulet (NASDAQ:PODD). Other notable competitors include Abbott Labs (NYSE:ABT), C.R. Bard (NYSE:BCR), Baxter (NYSE:BAX), LivaNova (NASDAQ:LIVN), Roche (OTCQX:RHHBY), DexCom (NASDAQ:DXCM) and Tandem (NASDAQ:TNDM).
- [By Ben Levisohn]
We expect a strong 2017 performance from Keytruda in NSCLC, though revenue and EPS estimates are now 2%-7% and 5%-12% below consensus between 2017E-20E. We also expect further pressure on Keytruda in 2018, driven by share losses in first-line non-small cell lung cancer to Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), AstraZeneca (AZN) and Roche (RHHBY) as well as an increasing overhang from the Januvia/ Janumet patent expiries as they loom ever closer. Merck screens poorly on many valuation metrics to us and we have downgraded the shares to Underperform.
- [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]
There’s still a lot to love about BMY and Opdivo, as they have the potential to be much larger. Now, notable BMY buyers could be the likes of Novartis (NYSE:NVS), Roche (OTCQX:RHHBY) or Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) – PFE has been looking to up its presence in the oncology market, and is also looking for a major purchase. BMY has a strong oncology pipeline that could work well with PFE or even Gilead (NASDAQ:GILD). GILD has an interest in oncology, and has plenty of cash for a buyout.
Top 10 Casino Stocks To Watch For 2018: Dermira, Inc.(DERM)
Advisors’ Opinion:
- [By Ben Levisohn]
Current market dynamics, particularly in the SMID biotech universe, provide a plethora of opportunities for the company to augment the breadth and depth its pipeline in its core therapeutic areas, including neurology, ophthalmology and dermatology, where innovation is rife and where consolidation of some of the smaller players in the space is likely, in our view. Stocks in our SMID coverage universe that could potentially constitute future acquisition targets forAllergan include Aclaris Therapeutics (ACRS) and Dermira (DERM) (both have mid- to late-stage dermatology assets in development). We note with interest the collaboration with Heptares announced yesterday evening for the development of several M1, M4 and dual M1/M4 agonists in development for a variety of neurological diseases, including Alzheimers disease. Notwithstanding this above, larger scale transactions of course cannot be ruled out, and we note todays market commentary (Fox Business) regarding the potential sale of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International’s (VRX) Bausch & Lomb unit. It is reasonable to assume thatAllergan could be a bidder for this asset, given the companys presence in ophthalmology, as well as CEO Brent Saunders familiarity with the asset (he was the CEO prior to its sale toValeant in 2013 for $8.7bn). At the time of its sale to Valeant, B&L was generating c.$3bn in revenues and growing at a double-digit rate. Current sales of the asset are unclear due to the reporting structure of Valeant, as well as concerns regarding the companys operating/ pricing strategy.
