Emissions-free RVs aren’t wishful thinking any longer, but don’t expect them to be popping up on any neighborhood driveways this summer.

Winnebago Industries has announced the launch of an all-electric chassis aimed at the market for commercial vehicles like bloodmobiles, mobile medical clinics and mobile classrooms. The zero-emissions vehicle will be available in 33-foot and 38-foot lengths and can weigh up to 26,000 pounds.

The vehicle isn’t suited to use as a motorhome yet because of its limited range. But the future for alternative-energy RVs doesn’t seem to be decades away, however. Alternative energy news site Electrek reported last fall on a German consumer RV prototype powered by solar panels and a battery pack that can travel at more than 100 miles per charge.

The cost for producing high-powered lithium-ion batteries is also plummeting. Just eight years ago, the cost of a battery for vehicular purposes was about $1,000 per kilowatt-hour of use, according to a Bloomberg New Energy Finance report. In 2016, the cost was down to $273 per hour.

Well, since the company’s financials continuously look better each year and it’s outperforming its competition, the popular company should be on investors’ minds right now.

The above chart shows sales forecast, taken from CNNMoney, for fiscal years 2017 and 2018. Analysts predict Nike will report total sales of $34.3 billion for fiscal-year 2017 and $36.5 billion for fiscal-year 2018. If analysts’ predictions are close to actual results, Nike’s plan to reach $50 billion in total sales by 2020 may fail. What exactly does this plan entail? Nike’s goal is to double its business with half the impact. This means the company is focusing on reducing its carbon footprint and striving for renewable energy while doubling its revenue. As for some numbers, the athletic company plans on reaching $36 billion in sales for fiscal-year 2017, which is at the end of this month. Nike also plans on increasing its e-commerce revenue from $1 billion to $7 billion by 2020, which will help against the striving e-commerce businesses, and doubling revenue in women’s apparel to $11 billion by 2020, as we can see in the chart below:

Top Energy Stocks For 2018: Exxon Mobil Corporation(XOM)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Reuben Gregg Brewer]

The stock of ExxonMobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) has been lagging behind the shares of its integrated oil major peers over the past year. In fact, Exxon is the only major oil company that’s seen a stock decline over that time span. Don’t get discouraged, even though there are some very real reasons for the laggard stock performance. Here are three terrible reasons to sell ExxonMobil Corporation today.

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

Shares of ExxonMobil (XOM) traded up as much as 1.5% this morning after the oil giant beat earnings forecasts. They’ve been coming in ever since.

Exxon reported a profit of 95 cents a share, beating forecasts for 88 cents, on sales of $63.3 billion, missing forecasts for $66.4 billion.

In a note released before the open this morning, Wells Fargo’s called the result “neutral” for the stock. He explains why:

Versus our expectations, XOM beat on better downstream performance, as chemicals fell short of expectations and upstream net income was in line with our estimates. Capex was meaningfully below expectations and run rate for FY2017 guidance. Cash flow from operations was slightly below our expectations, but net cash flow after capex and dividends exceeded $2.0 billion.

    Sounds about right.

Shares of ExxonMobil have advanced 0.8% to $81.89 at 2:02 p.m. today, while the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) has advanced 0.4% to $68.07.

Top 10 Energy Stocks To Invest In Right Now

Goldman Sachs analyst Brian Singer and team contend that EOG Resources (EOG), Diamondback Energy (FANG), PDC Energy (PDCE), Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD), and RSP Permian (RSPP) can benefit from greater productivity. They explain:

SPENCER PLATT/GETTY IMAGES

Despite the 2015 downturn, technological advances in shale continue. In 2015, global oil oversupply had adverse effects on North American shale producers. Our well-level analysis of the Permian, Eagle Ford, Wattenberg and Bakken Shale plays suggests that even in a year of distress, there were productivity gains to be found across the various plays. There remains a heavy debate among investors as to how secular the drivers of productivity gains are vs. increased lateral length that may have a ceiling and highgrading which is a function of producers drilling their best areas and dropping rigs in less favorable parts of a given play

Top 10 Energy Stocks To Invest In Right Now: Concho Resources Inc.(CXO)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

Lear also sees strong “upside potential” forConcho Resources (CXO), Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) and Newfield Exploration (NFX) as well performance improves in the Permian/STACK, and also writes positively on Devon Energy (DVN).

  • [By Paul Ausick]

Concho Resources Inc. (NYSE: CXO) is also rated a Hold with a higher price target of $150. For 2017, Jefferies raised its EPS estimate from $0.33 to $1.32, and for 2018 the estimate was lifted from $2.91 to $3.50. The stock closed at $132.41 on Friday, in a 52-week range of $94.26 to $147.55, and the consensus 12-month target is $167.46.

  • [By Matthew DiLallo]

Rising acreage prices are causing Permian peers concern that the market is getting too hot. For example, Concho Resources (NYSE:CXO) recently said that it was having difficulty finding a good value in Permian land deals. That’s saying a lot for a company that completed several deals over the past year, including paying $1.625 billion for 40,000 net acres last August, or more than $40,000 per acre. However, with recent deals in the mid-$40,000s per acre, and up to as high as $58,500 per acre, buyers like Concho are growing cautious, which suggests land values might be topping out.

  • [By Chris Lange]

The stock posting the largest daily percentage gain in the S&P 500 ahead of the close Wednesday was Concho Resources Inc. (NYSE: CXO) which rose over 4% to $146.79. The stocks 52-week range is $106.73 to $147.77. Volume was 1.5 million compared to its average volume of 1 million.

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

Large Caps. Our E&P coverage is pricing in $61/bbl WTI and $3.30 gas, and with a lower crude forecast the group is looking less compelling. We argue names that continue to demonstrate resource improvement at the low-end of the cost curve, namely in the Permian and STACK remain attractive, such as Concho Resources (CXO), Devon Energy (DVN), Newfield Exploration (NFX) and Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD). Noble (NBL) remains a compelling value, though has yet to commit to an accelerated US onshore drilling program.

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

Our peer group is up an average of 46% over the past 4 weeks in response to a 30% rebound in the 12-month strip NYMEX oil price. Some of the largest gainers include Hold and Sell rated stocks that we would not chase such asDenbury Resources (Sell, +138%), Halcon Resources (HK) (Sell, +147%), Jones Energy (JONE) (Hold, +166%), Rex Energy (REXX) (Sell, +60%), Sanchez Energy (SN) (Hold, +93%), Ultra Petroleum (UPL) (Sell, +61%), andWhiting Petroleum (Hold, +103%), which have outperformed the E&P Index (+32%) over the same time period. Balance sheets and/or well level returns remain challenged for these companies despite improved oil prices. While we believe oil markets should re-balance over the next 12 to 15 months, the recent recovery to $40 could reverse during 2Q16 as bloated inventories continue to rise, new volumes from Iran pressure an oversupplied market, and a highly anticipated decline in non-OPEC supply (especially in the U.S.), is not as steep as expected. The risk of an oil price retracement, which would significantly pressure the recent out-performers, outweighs the upside in these stocks, in our view. However, we are raising our target prices on Buy ratedAnadarko Petroleum ($54 from $48), Concho Resources (CXO) ($120 from $109), Matador Resources (MTDR) ($22 from $21),Noble Energy (NBL) ($40 from $34), SM Energy (SM) ($22 from $15), Rice Energy ($14 from $12), Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) ($155 from $135),Continental Resources ($32 from $28), and Parsley Energy (PE) ($24 from $23). We believe our Buy-rated stocks are better positioned to weather challenging oil markets.
