Hot Heal Care Stocks To Watch Right Now: Werner Enterprises, Inc.(WERN)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Max Byerly]

Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN) and Universal Logistics (NASDAQ:ULH) are both transportation companies, but which is the better investment? We will compare the two businesses based on the strength of their institutional ownership, profitability, analyst recommendations, dividends, valuation, earnings and risk.

  • [By ]

Werner Enterprises (Nasdaq: WERN) competes in the full-truckload (FTL) segment of the industry where drivers deliver entire truck-loads between two points, rather than making many stops to consolidate partial loads as in the LTL segment. This could mean that the company has relatively more to gain from autonomous trucking since highway driving is a larger portion of total drive time.

The analysts upgraded WEN from “Underweight” to “Hold.”

KeyBanc analyst Christopher O’Cull said, “We are raising our rating for The Wendy’s Company to HOLD as we believe: 1) Wendy’s SRS performance will diverge from the industry for the foreseeable future as new products are supported by more effective use of marketing dollars; 2) better menu and promotional management will lead to improved franchisee profitability (a focus of the new CFO Todd Penegor); and 3) the opportunity to extend the re-franchising program will provide a floor on the stock.”

Wendy’s shares were up 7 cents, or 0.81%, during pre-market trading on Friday. The stock is up 57.01% year-to-date.

It’s hard for any company to raise prices in the current non-inflationary environment. But it’s especially hard right now for operators of fast food restaurants, given the intense price competition in a very crowded marketplace. McDonald’s sales growth in recent quarters has been driven by the success of its Dollar Menu, so raising prices in that segment are a big deal for the company. In addition, pushback from franchisees who say they can’t afford to refurbish their stores, given higher charges from McDonald’s hits at one of McDonald’s key advantages in its market—it’s ability to refresh stores more frequently than competitors. A McDonald’s refresh at $600,000 on average, according to the company, costs substantially more than a remodel at Burger King (BKW) at $300,000 or Wendy’s (WEN) at $375,000 for the least expensive version. McDonald’s restaurants average $2.5 million in annual sales.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Jon C. Ogg]

The long saga regarding Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE: P) has finally come to a head. Well, maybe. Rather than KKR & Co. L.P. (NYSE: KKR) investing $150 million, Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRI) will be investing up to $480 million in the streaming music rival. With its ticketing unit sale taking place as well, it might seem that Pandora is getting a great deal and helping to bolster its books.

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRI) is a company that thrives on of new car sales. If you have had satellite radio and are not solely reliant on what you get for music in streaming or your library, then chances are pretty good that you won’t want to go back to just having old-fashioned FM/AM radio.

The pendulum is swinging back to Europe and Asia, whose stock markets are more enticingly valued than ours right now, suggests Jim Pearce, editor of Investing Daily’s flagship newsletter, Personal Finance.

I’ve been watching Tata Motors Ltd. (TTM) over the past few years with increasing interest. As India’s largest carmaker, it stands to benefit from the tenfold projected growth in the middle class in both India and China over the next decade.

Many of those consumers will be first-time car buyers seeking the kind of low-priced vehicles that Tata is renowned for, especially its subcompact Nano, a two-seater model that sells new for less than $3,000.

But there is a lot more to Tata than just cheap cars. In fact, it also owns the Jaguar and Land Rover automobile brands, which means the company can keep customers for life as they trade up to more expensive vehicles.

Top Cheap Stocks To Own Right Now: Wendy’s/Arby’s Group Inc.(WEN)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Jim Jubak, Senior Markets Editor, MoneyShow.com]

Top 10 Cheap Stocks To Invest In 2019

If you're like most investors, you probably worry too much about short-term share-price movements.   To make several times your money in the stock market, you must learn to find great businesses… buy them at cheap prices… and above all, hold on to them long enough.   Multibaggers take time. If you can't be patient, you can't get rich in stocks. Period. No ifs, ands, or buts about it…   The good news is that these days, it's easier than ever to be patient.   Andrew Pastor, a portfolio manager at asset-management firm EdgePoint Wealth Management, pointed this out in January. He says the average holding period for NYSE-listed stocks since the 1960s has been shrinking. From his essay…

The market is treating Chipotle as if it is an Amazon, Tesla, Apple or Google, when in fact all they do is make burritos. With the money it would cost you to buy Chipotle today @ $14 billion dollars you could buy Wendy’s (WEN), Cheesecake Factory (CAKE), Papa John’s International (PZZA), and Dunkin’ Brands (DNKN). Chipotle would need to generate at least $24 in earnings per share in order to justify the current market cap — they are not even expected to generate half of that next year. Chipotle is expected to report Q1 on April 25 and the market, in my opinion, has already more than priced in good news.

Top 5 Safest Stocks For 2018: Aimia Inc. (GAPFF)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

    Aimia (OTCPK:GAPFF) (TSX: AIM, AIM.PR.A, AIM.PR.B, AIM.PR.C)

As some background, we are intimately familiar with Aeroplan and Air Canada (OTCQX:ACDVF) not just as investors but as extraordinarily heavy consumers. As both an Air Canada top tier elite and Aeroplan top tier member I generate well in excess of 1.5 million Aeroplan miles annually, half from flying Air Canada and its partners and the other half from spending. As consumers we were concerned with Air Canada’s decision (though we expect more details to come out that will alleviate these concerns) but as investors we understand that the fundamental business model of mileage programs are incredibly attractive and that Aimia presents an incredibly rare and lucrative investment opportunity for the investor discerning enough to dig into the company.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Rich Duprey]

And that’s despite Burger King and Wendy’s (NASDAQ:WEN) posting higher quarterly comps for years. The restaurant industry itself may be experiencing a slowdown, and fast food is falling with it after having been one of the few areas notching consistent gains, but it means McDonald’s growth was merely an aberration.

  • [By Michael Flannelly]

KeyBanc analysts upgraded fast food restaurant operator The Wendy’s Co (WEN) on Friday, noting that the company has a number of positive developments that could provide a floor for the stock.

  • [By Leo Sun]

Chipmaker Ambarella (NASDAQ:AMBA) produces image processing SoCs (systems on chips) for a wide range of products, including action cameras, dash cams, drones, security cameras, and augmented reality glasses. But it generates most of its direct OEM revenue from one customer — action camera maker GoPro (NASDAQ:GPRO).

  • [By Rick Munarriz]

Ambarella (NASDAQ:AMBA) wasn’t as scintillating as NVIDIA last year, merely marching in place. However, the provider of video compression and image processing semiconductors has seen its stock pop ninefold since going public at $6 five years ago.

  • [By Kumar Abhishek]

Ambarella (NASDAQ:AMBA) stock is currently testing its 50-day simple moving average support line. As can be seen in Ambarella’s Technical analysis charts, AMBA stock was in a strong downtrend, forming lowerlows and lower highs over the past six months. However, the trend changed after the stock formed a doublebottom pattern. Double bottom is a trend reversal pattern which indicates that the stock is likelyto go up. After forming the double bottom pattern, the stock rallied, gaining around 10%. However, the rally was brought to a halt after the 100-day and 200-day simple moving averages formed a death cross. A death cross occurs when a shorter period moving average cuts a longer period moving average from the top. It is a strong bearish signal. The death cross was accompanied by abearish crossover between MACD and signal line. Ambarella stock has been in a decline ever since.

  • [By Lisa Levin]

  • [By Peter Graham]

Ambarella, Inc. (AMBA) has been all over the map over the last few years. It has defied gravity both to the up and to the downside, and although today’s suggested short of the stock is strictly technical, we do believe its current share price has once again gotten a little out of line when you compare it to the rest of the markets’ valuation metrics right now.
