Therefore, they have been disclosed as discontinued operations and have been measured at the lower of their carrying amounts and fair value; results of operations and cash flow of the comparative periods have been restated accordingly.   Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Shane Hupp]

ENI (NYSE:E) was downgraded by analysts at Zacks Investment Research from a hold rating to a sell rating. According to Zacks, “With recovering oil prices, Eni’s operating profits from its Refining & Marketing business has gone down in the first half of 2018 against the comparable period of 2017. Also, operating profit from its Chemical business fell 79% during this period due to rising costs of oil-based feedstock. Moreover, Eni has sold 50% of its stake in the Zohr field, a high yielding project, which can impact its revenues. Fall in demand for products like gasoil and gasoline, in Italy, is also a concern for the company. If this consumption trend persists, the company’s profit levels will get affected. Given these headwinds, Eni seems like a risky bet that ordinary investors should exit.”

Baozun Inc. (NASDAQ:BZUN) may not be a household name in the U.S., but there’s a good reason for investors to learn more about this high-flying Chinese e-commerce play.

Shares have already soared since its 2015 initial public offering: The stock has gone up 450%. It’s nearly tripled over the last year, as revenue growth has accelerated in recent quarters, and profitability has improved as the company moves to a service model. Meanwhile, the growth opportunity in Chinese e-commerce has the market salivating.

China’s largest brand e-commerce partner often draws comparisons to Shopify (NYSE:SHOP), which has also surged in recent years, but there are important differences between the two. While Shopify focuses mostly on software, Baozun offers a suite of services beyond IT, including warehousing, distribution, and customer service. Shopify tends to attract mostly small and medium-sized businesses as customers. Baozun, on the other hand, focuses on multinational companies — like Philips, Nike, and Microsoft — that need help operating their e-commerce businesses in China and navigating labyrinthine Chinese regulations.

Best Performing Stocks To Buy Right Now: Corcept Therapeutics Incorporated(CORT)

We are a pharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of drugs that treat severe metabolic, oncologic and psychiatric disorders by modulating the effects of cortisol. Elevated levels and abnormal release patterns of cortisol are implicated in a broad range of human disorders. Since our inception in 1998, we have been developing mifepristone, a compound that modulates the effects of cortisol by acting as a competitive antagonist at the glucocorticoid receptor (GR). We have also discovered three structurally distinct series of proprietary, selective cortisol modulators, all of which share mifepristone’s affinity for GR but, unlike mifepristone, do not bind to the progesterone receptor, and so do not terminate pregnancy or cause other side effects associated with progesterone receptor antagonism. We have begun pre-clinical and clinical development of our lead compounds from these series.   Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Maxx Chatsko]

Shares of Corcept Therapeutics (NASDAQ:CORT) gained over 11% last month, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence. The double-digit rise might seem impressive, but it comes on the heels of a report by the Southern Investigative Reporting Foundation (SIRF) that painted the company and its main profit generator, Korlym, a drug approved to treat Cushing’s syndrome, in a negative light. That caused the stock to plunge in late January. As a result, shares have posted a year-to-date loss of 6% through the first week of March.

Top 10 Heal Care Stocks To Invest In 2021

Hawaii became the first state in the nation to begin enacting ban on the sale of sunscreens containing coral harming chemicals.

Hawaii Gov. David Ige signed the legislation on Tuesday, but it won’t become effective until 2021.

The chemicals, oxybenzone and octinoxate, are believed by scientists to be toxicto coral reefs. The chemicals are in the majority of sunscreen products.

“This is just one small step toward protecting and restoring the resiliency of Hawaii’s reefs,” Ige said.

Oxybenzone and octinoxate cause mortality in developing coral; increase coral bleaching that indicates extreme stress, even at temperatures below 87.8 degrees Fahrenheit; and cause genetic damage to coral and other marine organisms,” according to the bill.

The governor added that Hawaii would also need to continue other efforts to protect coral, including fighting invasive species, pollution from land runoff and climate change.

Advanced materials are loosely defined as those designed with enhanced properties that improve on traditionally used materials. A broader definition includes materials seeing increased demand due to advanced technologies. For example, if you want to reduce the weight of aircraft (while also increasing strength) then Hexcel Corp. (NYSE: HXL) advanced composites are going to come in handy. Similarly, if you believe in the future of electric vehicles then the lithium produced by Albemarle Corp. (NYSE: ALB) (used in batteries) will surely come into high demand in the future. Moreover, if you want to invest in companies that provide technology to materials processors then high-performance laser manufacturer IPG Photonics Corp. (NASDAQ: IPGP) is well worth a look. Here’s the investment case for all three.
