Hot Safest Stocks To Invest In 2019

In a junior sector that has become quite a stock-picker’s market over the past nine months, I find some of the safest and lowest risk opportunities come when a company is undergoing a major change. Atlantic Gold (OTCPK:SPVEF) was one such idea I highlighted last year, as the company was set to transform itself into Canada’s newest junior gold producer. The stock has since moved from US$0.60 to US$1.40 and the re-rating I expect has nearly come to fruition. A company with a similar profile that I’ve had my eye on was Harte Gold (OTCPK:HRTFF), but the stock got well ahead of itself earlier this year and I exited my position. Since that time the stock has spent the last six months consolidating and finally looks it may be ready to resume the new uptrend it began earlier this year.

How well can you size-up a credit card promotion?

It’s hard to keep a cool head in the heat of the retail moment. You’re about to make a big purchase and the clerk is waving a store credit card offer before you.

“No interest if paid in full within 12 months!” they’ll say. Or, “0% intro APR on purchases for 12 months.”

They sound like great deals. But the offers aren’t the same, and one can cost you considerably more over time.

Both cards, usually offered by retailers, set aside a time when you pay no interest on the money you borrowed to buy a sofa, say. But one card charges no interest for that time, while the other just defers interest you would have paid.

The deferred interest card could cost you quite a bit more if you’re not paying attention. If you still have a promotional balance when the time is up, you’ll be charged back interest.

More people are buying things with deferred-interest promotions, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. More than a third end up paying 150% of the balance, according to a CFPB study. Many consumers mistakenly believe these to be 0% interest.

Hot Heal Care Stocks To Invest In Right Now

The good news: for the first time since the recession, the number of people across the nation who are struggling to put food on the table has decreased. In fact, the number of “food insecure” (those unsure they will be able to afford three meals each day) fell by 6 million Americans last year to the lowest level since 2008, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

We’ve seen the same trend here in New York City. According to preliminary data from nonprofit Hunger Free America, the city has seen a decline of about 250,000 food insecure individuals this past year alone. This is a welcome reprieve from unprecedented highs at the peak of the recession.

As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, these preliminary numbers do give some much-needed hope.

Despite this positive news though, hunger stubbornly persists for more than 42 million Americans (including over 13 million children) — more than the combined populations of Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin — and for over 1.2 million individuals in New York City alone.

stock trading companies: Arista Networks, Inc.(ANET)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Simon Erickson]

Arista Networks (NYSE:ANET) founder/Chairman Andy Bechtolsheim became a Silicon Valley legend after being one of the first investors in the company now called Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), cutting the company a $100,000 check in 1998 before it had even formally selected a name (he confirmed this investment has personally netted him more than $1 billion).

Arista’s customer count has increased sixfold during the past four years (from 570 in 2011 to more than 3,500 today) and their market share in high-speed data center switching has increased from 3% to 12% during the same time frame. Bechtolsheim owns 19% of Arista’s shares, with insiders collectively owning more than 44%. Due to massive amounts of data being transferred across the Internet (thanks to high-definition video, genomic sequencing, and a ton of other formats), investment in cloud-computing infrastructure is estimated to grow from $32.6 billion in 2015 to $53.1 billion by 2019.

  • [By Billy Duberstein]

Furthermore, if the company were thinking along these lines it would be due to competitive pressures. For years, Cisco’s switching software was only available on its own high-margin hardware; however, the data center switching industry is changing, as competitors like Arista Networks (NYSE:ANET) are winning market share by offering low-cost switches with high functionality. In the past year or two, though, an even greater threat to the industry has emerged, as smaller networking companies started selling stand-alone software that could be run on low-end “whitebox” switches made by low-cost Asian vendors.

  • [By WWW.MONEYSHOW.COM]

My Top Pick for growth investors in 2017 is Arista Networks (ANET), which in many ways looks like the next Cisco (CSCO) — the company was built from the ground up to deal with the realities of the new networking paradigm.

Hunter Harrison is a hero in the railroad industry, a folk legend if you will, when it comes to turning around rail companies. He successfully turned around Canadian Pacific Railway (NYSE:CP) before jumping ship early to partner with activist investor Mantle Ridge to take on CSX (NYSE:CSX). After a bit of back and forth, CSX caved and appointed Harrison as CEO for the next four years. CSX shares have skyrocketed on the news and hope that Harrison will work his turnaround magic. The stock is up nearly 100% in the last year.
