Top Value Stocks To Watch For 2018

Invisalign is one of the hottest products of the year thanks to teens and adults who want straight teeth without metal in their mouths.

The shift to clear aligners has powered Align Technology (ALGN), the company behind Invisalign, to a record year. Align’s value has nearly tripled, making it the top performer on the S&P 500. It’s worth close to $20 billion.

“Braces are no longer a right of passage for teens,” said Jeff Johnson, an RW Baird analyst. Invisalign is “quickly moving into the mass adoption part of the market.”

More than a million teens across the globe have ordered Invisalign, Align announced in November. Five million people have purchased the treatment, which costs anywhere between $3,000 – $8,000.

Align sales have grown two years in a row, and its last quarter was the best in the company’s 20-year history.

Orders among teens spiked to nearly 70,000 this past quarter, a 46% rise compared to the same period last year. Credit Suisse analyst Erin Wright called the jump “momentous.”

Top Value Stocks To Watch For 2018: Broadcom Corporation(BRCM)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Shauna O’Brien]

Susquehanna reported on Tuesday that it has raised its rating on Broadcom Corporation (BRCM).

The firm has upgraded BRCM from “Neutral” to “Positive,” and has lifted the company’s price target from $33 to $35. This price target suggests a 23% upside from the stock’s current price of $26.91.

Analyst Chris Caso commented: “Our downgrade of BRCM in May was predicated on already high Street expectations on handsets and no notable improvement in networking to drive upside. We think expectations and the stock price have now been sufficiently reset ahead of what we expect to be catalysts in 2014 including the iPhone 6 product cycle, potential improvement in networking and the impact from the recent Renesas acquisition. In addition, after several years of overspending on their handset initiatives, we think we are now closer to the point where the company either captures a return on that investment or is forced to moderate spending either of which benefit profitability. We see the upcoming December analyst meeting as a potential intermediate catalyst.”

Broadcom shares were up 38 cents, or 1.41%, during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is down 19% YTD.

world stock markets

Acacia Communications (ACIA) delivers high-speed optical interconnect products which transform communication networks. These solutions are used by cloud infrastructure players, content and communication service providers, among others.

The company timed its IPO well earlier this year, as accelerating growth triggered a huge post-IPO momentum run in the shares. As these shares have given up 50% of their value ever since, following a subsequent share offering and 篓weaker篓 Q4 guidance, I think that appeal is improving rather rapidly at this point in time.

A Growth Story, In A Growing Industry

The issue with communication network providers is that some products can often become successful overnight, resulting in steep growth rates, yet we have seen many players which have seen the boom and consequential bust in this industry.

Acacia麓s products are designed to improve performance, capacity and reduce costs through the conversion towards a silicon-based technology. These products are sold by a direct sales force, as the company has merely 25 customers at the moment. Growing bandwidth demand as a result of video, mobile and internet of things make the strain on these networks much greater. The siliconization of optical networks can play a major role to handle the growth.

Top 10 Clean Energy Stocks To Own For 2018: Arista Networks, Inc.(ANET)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Lisa Levin]

Shares of Arista Networks Inc (NYSE: ANET) got a boost, shooting up 17 percent to $117.47 after the company reported better-than-expected results for its fourth quarter and issued a strong outlook for the current quarter.

  • [By Simon Erickson]

Arista Networks (NYSE:ANET) founder/Chairman Andy Bechtolsheim became a Silicon Valley legend after being one of the first investors in the company now called Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), cutting the company a $100,000 check in 1998 before it had even formally selected a name (he confirmed this investment has personally netted him more than $1 billion).

Arista’s customer count has increased sixfold during the past four years (from 570 in 2011 to more than 3,500 today) and their market share in high-speed data center switching has increased from 3% to 12% during the same time frame. Bechtolsheim owns 19% of Arista’s shares, with insiders collectively owning more than 44%. Due to massive amounts of data being transferred across the Internet (thanks to high-definition video, genomic sequencing, and a ton of other formats), investment in cloud-computing infrastructure is estimated to grow from $32.6 billion in 2015 to $53.1 billion by 2019.

  • [By WWW.MONEYSHOW.COM]

My Top Pick for growth investors in 2017 is Arista Networks (ANET), which in many ways looks like the next Cisco (CSCO) — the company was built from the ground up to deal with the realities of the new networking paradigm.

  • [By Billy Duberstein]

Furthermore, if the company were thinking along these lines it would be due to competitive pressures. For years, Cisco’s switching software was only available on its own high-margin hardware; however, the data center switching industry is changing, as competitors like Arista Networks (NYSE:ANET) are winning market share by offering low-cost switches with high functionality. In the past year or two, though, an even greater threat to the industry has emerged, as smaller networking companies started selling stand-alone software that could be run on low-end “whitebox” switches made by low-cost Asian vendors.

The phrase “over the top television” – or its acronym “OTT” – aren’t necessarily newly-coined ones. The phrase/abbreviation materialized shortly after Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) became a viable alternative to traditional cable television services less than a decade ago. The over-the-top race didn’t really heat up, however, until the past few months. Once it did heat up though, sparks started to fly in earnest.

They’re still flying too, and will be for a while if a small startup called Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) has anything to say about it. Netflix, Hulu [jointly owned by Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) and Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOXA)] and all the rest of the relatively new players in this space may want to look over their shoulder. In the meantime, investors may want to take a step back and look at where the real money in the OTT industry is going to be made during the next 10 years. OTTV plays a prominent role in that picture.

Contrary to popular belief, Netflix isn’t the totally dominant name it used to be in the Internet-delivered television industry. It was admittedly the first on the scene, and therefore was able to carve out the biggest piece of the market (which it still holds to this day). It’s largely become a commoditized business though.

Case in point? Aside from Hulu and Netflix, CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) has jumped into the game with its product called CBS All Access. The service allows subscribers, for a nominal monthly fee, to access a variety of CBS programming via the Internet. HBO, from Time Warner Inc (NYSE:TWX), has found respectable success with its subscription-based Internet television service called HBO Go.

Sling TV, from DISH Network Corp (NASDAQ:DISH), has really broken new ground in the over the top market by aggregating a variety of television channels into an entire package and then selling that package at a rate that’s much less than what it would cost a cable subscriber

Early into the election victory of now-President Donald Trump, the “Big Four” bank stocks were one of the immediate beneficiaries. Bolstered by promises of fewer regulations, virtually the entire financial complex shot higher. With a tough economic environment that hindered lending services, the last thing bank stocks needed was more bureaucracy. Although a bit on the outspoken side, President Trump gave the industry the confidence it needed.
