&l;p class=&q;tweet_line&q;&g;More than half a million jobs around the world were created in the renewable energy sector in 2017 , bringing the total number of people employed in the sector to more than 10 million for the first time.

Figures from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) show that more than 70% of clean energy jobs are in just six countries &a;ndash; China, Brazil, the US, India, Germany and Japan &a;ndash; suggesting the sector has significant scope to continue growing in years to come.

IRENA&a;rsquo;s fifth &l;em&g;Renewable Energy and Jobs &a;ndash; Annual Review&l;/em&g; showed that the sector employs 10.3 million workers, with 60% of jobs in Asia. &a;ldquo;Although growing numbers of countries are reaping the socio-economic benefits of renewables, the bulk of manufacturing takes place in relatively few countries and domestic markets vary enormously in size,&a;rdquo; IRENA said.

Top 5 Clean Energy Stocks To Invest In Right Now: Wynn Resorts, Limited(WYNN)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Lee Jackson]

This top company saw the departure of its namesake founder earlier this year. Wynn Resorts Ltd. (NASDAQ: WYNN) operates Wynn Macau and Encore at Wynn Macau resort located in the People’s Republic of China.

  • [By Rich Duprey]

Yet not all casinos will benefit equally. Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) and Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN), for example, derive most of their revenues from operations in Macau. Sands earns 60% there; Wynn, 73%. They could certainly expand their sports books beyond their Vegas operations, but they have so few casinos elsewhere (and Wynn’s Boston Harbor isn’t even completed), it’s only going to be a tiny portion of their overall revenues.

  • [By Travis Hoium]

Encore Boston Harbor, Wynn Resorts, Limited’s (NASDAQ:WYNN) $2.5 billion resort under construction near downtown Boston, may be up for sale — again — as gaming regulators mull whether the company will keep its gaming license in the state. Regulators have been concerned about Wynn’s corporate governance since allegations of sexual misconduct against founder Steve Wynn came to light earlier this year.

  • [By Travis Hoium]

Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN) has been on a growth tear since opening Wynn Palace in Macau two years ago, but that’s not the end of the company’s ambitions. There’s room to expand in existing markets like Las Vegas and Macau, and new markets to conquer like Boston and Japan.

  • [By Rich Duprey]

The future of Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN) could be in doubt as The New York Post reported MGM Resorts (NYSE:MGM) may be interested in buying its rival. Although MGM CEO Jim Murren previously said his resort was unlikely to make a play, the resignation of founder Steve Wynn and the sale of all of his stock in the casino giant now makes a takeover bid more palatable.

By now, most investors are familiar with the FAANG group of tech stocks that have driven much of the market’s growth in recent years. The success of stocks like Facebook and Amazon show that investing can be as easy as buying shares in companies whose products you use everyday, but there are also stocks that are flying under the radar that you should get to know. These offer investors the opportunity for even bigger returns since smaller-cap stocks have a greater potential for growth. In-the-know investors are catching on to some of these names. Keep reading to learn more about Baozun (NASDAQ:BZUN), Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN), and Viking Therapeutics (NASDAQ:VKTX).

Top 5 Clean Energy Stocks To Invest In Right Now: Starbucks Corporation(SBUX)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Douglas A. McIntyre]

Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ: SBUX) needs to be restructured, refined and refocused. The management decision to reorganize the coffee company will come with large layoffs. Company CEO and president, Kevin Johnson, will not be among those who will depart. However, many Starbucks problems have occurred over the course of his tenure, and last year he was paid $11.5 million for his leadership.

  • [By Motley Fool Staff]

Barker: Yeah, it’s a little jarring, “McDonald’s restaurants,” because I guess the image I have, in my head at least, of a restaurant is a little bit more of a sit-down experience than the counter experience. This is not a shot at McDonald’s, although we could go in that direction if you have a good line or something, but I feel the same way about Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) also included in the restaurant category.

  • [By Jon C. Ogg]

Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ: SBUX) continues to face headwinds as investors and consumers see a maturing brand that is finding limited options for organic growth. After the close on Tuesday, Starbucks announced that the company was raising its target for cash returned to shareholders to $25 billion through fiscal year 2020, and that includes a 20% increase in the company’s common stock dividend. Unfortunately, Starbucks also lowered its internal growth metrics and its shares were lower as a result.

  • [By Chris Lange]

Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ: SBUX) was started as Neutral at Wedbush and assigned a $58 price target (versus a $57.68 close). The firm no longer sees risks to fiscal 2019 expectations and long-term management targets. The firm also does not expect near-term drivers of positive revisions to materialize.

  • [By Douglas A. McIntyre]

Nestle will pay Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ: SBUX) over $7 billion to help the distribution of coffee worldwide by both companies. According to Reuters:

Top Value Stocks For 2019: Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc(VRX)

Advisors’ Opinion:

Sometimes it’s better to raise funds when you can vs. when you have to. Look no farther than Valeant Pharmaceuticals (VRX) , which is in a massive hole of debt and trades below $20 per share. It sure would have been nice to raise capital in a secondary offering with the stock over $200 per share for six months throughout 2015.

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

Tuesday saw an up-and-down session on Wall Street, with major benchmarks trading on either side of the unchanged mark before finishing the day flat. Many investors kept most of their attention on Washington, where the White House announced that the U.S. would withdraw from the deal that the previous administration made with Iran concerning nuclear development. The withdrawal was largely expected, and although crude oil and other commodities were volatile leading up to the final decision, most other financial markets seemed prepared for the announcement. Even on a lackluster day, some companies had good news that lifted their shares substantially. Expeditors International of Washington (NASDAQ:EXPD), Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX), and SeaWorld Entertainment (NYSE:SEAS) were among the best performers on the day. Here’s why they did so well.

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

The stock market finally hit some resistance on Tuesday, giving up ground and breaking a long streak of consecutive advances for most major benchmarks. Market participants got spooked by a rise in interest rates, with 10-year Treasury yields once again climbing above the 3% mark and leading some to predict even steeper advances in the future. With budget deficits ballooning, higher interest expenses on the national debt could have a dramatic impact on the U.S. economy, especially if it lures investors away from high-flying stocks. Yet even amid the bond-driven downturn, some individual companies saw good news lift their shares. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX), Hollysys Automation Technologies (NASDAQ:HOLI), and Ascena Retail Group (NASDAQ:ASNA) were among the best performers on the day. Here’s why they did so well.

Best Undervalued Stocks To Buy Right Now

As I said in a recent piece on PRA Health Sciences (NASDAQ:PRAH), there’s a lot to like about the contract research organization (or CRO) sector as trial complexity increases, R&D budgets continue to grow, and drug companies look to shift toward their specialties and more variable-expense models. Within this competitive space, INC Research (NASDAQ:INCR) has looked to stand out with an intense focus on Phase II-IV support, a greater skew towards smaller companies, and a more intense focus on a few specific therapeutic indications.

Whether this differentiated strategy will work is (and/or how well), in my mind, the key question for the stock. What INC Research is doing makes sense, but it’s a riskier strategy given how much spending is accounted for by larger companies and the reliance of smaller companies on market-based funding. Performance has been more erratic here of late, with soft trends in new bookings (although the company tends to be conservative here). That said, if INC can navigate through this tough stretch and drive long-term revenue growth in the high single digits, with FCF growth in the double digits, the shares look undervalued below $50.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

The importance of cellular connectivity for wearables, particularly for smartwatches, has been a theme of mine since last year, and I’m glad to see other analysts and organizations starting to pick up on it. I’ve discussed Qualcomm’s (NASDAQ:QCOM) development of the Snapdragon Wear SOC that manufacturers are using for Android Wear 2 smartwatches with LTE connectivity, such as the LG Watch Sport (OTC:LGEAF). Such watches provide voice calling and cellular data connections and anticipate the future direction of the smartwatch.

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

Coherent’s ELA deposition technology for LTPS backplane isn’t used in OLED TVs, where LG (OTC:LGEAF) uses metal oxide backpanes. There was some worry by analysts whether that technology could migrate to the smartphone panel market which CEO Ambroseo could not dispel entirely, but he argued that it has not been demonstrated suitable for handsets or battery-powered devices at this point.

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

However, Apple is turning to LG (OTC:LGEAF) and the Herald reports that Apple is even considering investing in a future plant in China to build flexible displays. It’s thought that the bendable displays could be available as early as 2019.

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

There are other areas of smartphone innovation pursued by other companies besides Apple. The development of OLED screens has been a significant innovation pursued mainly by Korean giants Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) and LG (OTC:LGEAF). It is now being reported that Samsung and LG will introduce smartphones with foldable OLED screens this year.

Finisar’s (FNSR) datacom segment generated $184.4 million in revenue in the last reported quarter. This was a sequential growth of 9.3%. The Ten Gigabit Ethernet or 10GbE modules contributed about 40% to the datacom segment’s revenue. As organizations go digital, there are an increasing number of applications that require considerable bandwidth to support the transfer of large data, video, and audio files across networks. Using 10GbE optical links provides sufficient bandwidth to support these bandwidth-intensive applications at a lower cost.

DryShips isn’t the only shipping stock that has skyrocketed this month; the following stocks’ shares are all up between 320 and 720 percent since November 2:

Diana Containerships Inc (NASDAQ: DCIX). Euroseas Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESEA). Globus Maritime Ltd (NASDAQ: GLBS). Sino-Global Shipping America, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SINO).

One of the primary reasons for the extreme moves in DryShips and other shipping stocks is a combination of large short positions in the stocks and extremely low share counts. DryShips in particular lowered its share count from around 672 million to only around 1 million via a series of reverse stock-splits throughout the year. The splits were intended to allow the stock to maintain its Nasdaq listing after it had lost more than 98 percent of its value in the first 10 months of 2016.
