Top 10 Heal Care Stocks To Watch Right Now

Over in DigiTimes, contributor Nebojsa Novakovic recently speculated that gaming-oriented graphics processors based on NVIDIA’s (NASDAQ:NVDA) recently announced Volta architecture could use a type of video memory known as HBM2 (“high bandwidth memory 2”) rather than a more traditional graphics double data rate (GDDR) memory.

HBM2 memory is believed to be more expensive to produce than traditional GDDR-type memory, but the idea is that HBM2 is said to offer power efficiency and physical footprint advantages over GDDR-type memories.

Today, NVIDIA’s GP100 chip — which powers the company’s Tesla P100 datacenter accelerator and its Quadro GP100 professional visualization accelerator — uses HBM2, while the company’s gaming-oriented Pascal products (GP102, GP104, GP106, GP107, GP108) use either GDDR5X (for higher-end products) or GDDR5 (for lower-end products).

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

For those that are looking to express a more downbeat market view, or looking for a source of funds, we can neutralize our positive S&P 500 outlook and aim to sell stocks that are at risk to underperform on a relative basis. While a rising tide lifts all boats in absolute terms, we found that mega-cap safety is the central theme linking stocks that are at, or nearing, decade-long relative lows vs. the S&P 500: General Electric, Southern (SO), Simon Property Group (SPG), Verizon Communications (VZ), Wal-Mart, ExxonMobil. We see such relative weakness as a sign of vulnerability in their trend.
