Hot Medical Stocks To Invest In 2021

AMD stock has more than doubled this year and is trading at a nearly 12-year high. That makes AMD the best performer in the S&P 500. AMD (AMD) recently passed heart pump maker Abiomed (ABMD) to take over the top spot.

AMD’s gains are partly coming at the expense of semiconductor giant Intel (INTC), whose stock is only up about 2% this year on concerns about lower profit margins and possible product delays.

Brad Keywell, the CEO of Uptake Technologies, is confident that the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, could have been prevented if his company had been keeping watch.

“Flint should not have happened,” said Keywell, the co-founder of more than a dozen companies, including Groupon, in the latest Boss Files podcast with CNN’s Poppy Harlow. “If Uptake’s tools would have been monitoring the water supply quality, then you would have known about the earliest indication and you would’ve solved it.”

Based on FedEx Corporation's (NYSE: FDX) most recent earnings report, you'd think the stock would be performing better. 

Not only did the company report an Earnings Per Share figure of $3.72 compared to the consensus estimate of $3.12, their sales figure of $16.5 billion also exceeded Wall Street's estimate at $16.15 billion. 

Beyond that, their EPS guidance estimate for the fiscal year came in at $15-$15.40, a huge beat of the $13.61 estimate.
